The Race Across Europe

RACE INFO

How difficult is The RACE?

This depends on whether you go for the solo entry or ride as part of a team. For solo riders The RACE is a very tough ultracycling challenge on a par with the ‘Race Across America’ (RAAM), whereas for team riders the challenge is very achievable for most cyclists who have prepared properly.

Teamwork is key and the support crew will be central to the overall success and safety of the team.

Below are some basic figures to give an idea of what you will be taking on, based on cycling for 18 hrs every day, and accounting for only one cyclist per team being on the road at any given time.

The RACE (for solo cyclists) vs Le Tour de France

The RACE – 2933 miles in 15 days

Le Tour – 2131 miles in 21 days
